“Saw a lot of concerts in the ’60s and early ’70s living in the Denver area. Can we trust our memories from then? Don’t know, but the concert that stand out for me was Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young in ’69 shortly after Woodstock. Opening act was Santana. They were amazing and by the time they finished the whole place was moving. When CSNY came on with an acoustic set, it was almost a let down, so different from the intensity of Santana, but they were great. Did the acoustic set, then did individual sets with Steven Stills, Crosby and Nash, and Neil Young. They then finished with an electric set that pretty much finished us all off.”
