She certainly is one of the queens of folk music having dominated the scene since the early ’60s. Her voice is very beautiful, so much so that even Bob Dylan was taken aback by her.
She was the main mama in the Mamas And The Papas and she definitely had a big voice that really brought that band to fame.
Nicknamed the ‘Acid Queen’, Grace does psychedelic vocals better than anyone. When she joined the Jefferson Airplane, immediately the band was launched to fame with her songs ‘Somebody to Love’ and ‘White Rabbit’.
Just by looking at Joni, you can tell she has a beautiful soul. She radiates an energy that is divine and her sweet voice is the perfect match. She does her own style of folk that makes you want to sit in the forrest with her and listen for hours.
And who could forget the best of the best, Ms. Janis Joplin. The Texas blues singer with her raspy voice can grab your attention in seconds. You can hear so much pain and emotion in her singing that it is undeniable that there is no one better.
